This website is to enable you to find great places to eat and drink across the two beautiful counties of Leicestershire & Rutland easily and quickly. We built this site due to the fact of that whenever we were thinking of somewhere new to go for a good meal or night out - we were stumped. With no good online information showing the pubs in one place with descriptions and great images we decided to build one ourselves. Each entry has images, opening times and a description of the pub with links to their own website where available.

The Pub of the Month for May is the Chequers at Swinford. As well as hosting the annual worm charming championships they have a great kids playing area and Marquee available for functions. Always a warm welcome and worth a trip out.
We hope the weather improves for May as April was a washout and with the Jubilee coming up we hope to have all our pubs events here on the front page so keep checking back for more information.

A warm welcome is sure to delight all when visiting The Chequers, a friendly pub situated in the south Leicestershire village of Swinford. Where Chris & Brian Priest have, for the past twenty five years been providing excellent service, in a beautiful building with fine drink, food and regular entertainment. The Chequers has a selection of lagers on tap, as well as three real ales, including Mild Ale & a constantly changing guest ale. The rest of the bar is well stocked and includes a variety wines, spirits and soft drinks. During the summer, the public house assembles a beautifully decorated and furnished marquee that is suitable to hire for functions, such as wedding receptions, christenings, birthday parties & other events for up to one hundred guests.
